I'm very interested. The dates you picked are perfect for my schedule. I'd like to know about your plan for logistics (carpool/lodging).

The older I am, the faster I was.

We have several of options:

1) Rent an 28'-30' RV (7 people Max) and stay at an RV Park with Full hookups near Downieville for $37 per day for 4 people for the RV Park ($8 extra each additional person). RV Park offers showers and laundry facility.
2) Rent a House with 4 beds, full kitchen, dining area for $265/Day. (Deposit is 50% and another 50% 60 days prior check in)
3) Rent a Tent at a camp site that sleeps 4 for $75/Day. Tent is a canvas tent. Camp site offers shared bathrooms with showers.
4) Rent a Room at a motel for $75-$99/Night (Sierra City - 12 Miles from Downieville) or $150-$199 at Downieville.

I prefer #1 option myself, but I'm also open to renting a Cabin or a House.

We have to establish first who wants to go, and if they are willing to split the expense for the transportation, food, and lodging. The lodging we must finalized right away because I called and most of the motels, cabins, are beginning to be booked for those dates - August 10th - 12th because this is Downieville's busy season for fishing, rafting, camping, and MTB.

I definitely want to go. I guess it boils down to how many will commit. What is rate for renting an RV? I'm for it if we can get a reasonable price. Thanks for the info Rey!

Change of Plan, we are going to Northstar Tahoe instead! We still have room in the SUV. Just pitch in for Gas.
